TheGrimSleeper55555
I'm trying to make a fully Automatic Laser Rifle, with a fire rate of about 6r/s or higher and just setting rate of fire to 6 in GECK doesn't cut it. For those new to the problem: The animation for firing Laser Rifles is rather long (the default settings actually slow it even further by animation multiplier) and setting this too high will 'jam' the weapon while trying to fire. On the other hand, setting the fire rate higher doesn't work because animation speed caps it at about 6 rps.Setting both higher will allow the higher rates of fire, but causes a bug in VATS, where 'the lone wanderer' can fumbles around with the weapon and only fires 1 round at the end of the animation. This problem can in turn be resolved by picking a different 'Attack Animation (attack loop)' in GECK, but this will cause 'the lone wanderer' to wield it like a 1-handed weapon when shooting. So the question for the community:Is there any known way around these problems? Are there any animation settings that do work? Will solving this require some nice animator to make a new 'attack loop' for energy rifles? TheUndert0ker
I don't know about the geck, but with weapon mod kits mod i made an automatic laser rifle (the wazer wifle no less) with scope and extended battery and it totally kicks ass! It's like a fully auto sniper rifle with incredible accuracy. It's possible.
TheGrimSleeper55555
I've tried the same solution, but I couldn't find a reload animation that fitted the Laser Rifle. Do you know which one it is, or how to solve this problem some other way? Edit: I found: with some scripts and a new animation. This could get difficult.
