I never even saw this part of the forums, so I have been a member for some time now. I mean, not too long, but long enough.

I don't give my real name out. It's not that I don't trust you guys, but... I don't trust you guys. So yeah, I'm a girl. 18 as of Febuary '09. I have been a fan of Oblivion since it came out on the XBox 360. But since my brother moved out, he took the XBox with him. Hence why I switched to computer usage of the game. I like it better on the PC simply because I can mod it, and all that fun stuff. Just recently I have been taking pictures of my characters in Oblivion as "models", which is quite fun. I thank all you modders out there for providing this amusement for me.

And so I quote, "I wish they didn't say PC gaming is dead, because modding has provided more games beyond what any console can do. PC is very much alive."

So yeah, just call me Riot if you wish, since I am not giving you any other choice. ^.^

Welcome to the Nexus

Remember it is the console fanboys who have declared the PC dead. My own opinion is that the consoles are intended as toys exclusively, while the PC is a versatile tool that can be used as a toy as well as many other things - try running a real database or spreadsheet on a console.

I think mods will eventually come to the consoles, and the consoles will become more versatile in the future. But I don't see them completely supplanting the PC for games any time soon.

I definitely agree with you bben46, but they will take so long to try to condense these things needed to imitate the PC. So far they have gotten the internet on console. Watching E3, I don't think they are heading the right direction. Their loss, our victory.

I mean, if I were to put a price to every game I have and then consider how many are mods, I saved 100 dollars or so. Very good stuff. :D

And yes, computers did come first as calliton said. You just can't beat the classics.

EDIT: Thank you for the lovely welcome pictures! They are quite sexy. ;)
