Michlo
No download manager.Firefox. I've not yet checked my router, I'll try to remember to do that when I get home. I'm usually downloading after I get home around 01:00 PT. Cheers.
buddah
Usually in bed at that time during the week, like you a working man. I normally download from 6 to 11 in the eveining, download only one file at a time, never had an issue using "Download them all" an addon for firefox which works well with the resume abilities on the premium serves. Have it running int he background while reading the forums. When I have time, I will reconfigure the normal manager in firefox and give it a try, I normally just DL one at a time but I will set it up for 6 and give it a go on some larger files. I just checked all my recent downloads about 10 days worth, that I haven't moved to my archive HD and all are good. I use XP SP3 latest updates, the latest firefox and download them all (configured for single download at a time) 1.5 meg actual connection speed and normal download rate is 160kbs, which is the max my connection will allow. For those who think it is slow, it is what it should be....download are measured in bytes [8 bits] and connection speed is measured in bits. your download speed should be between 10 and 12% of your actual connection speed, allowing for overhead for routing and vpi/vci information contained in the packet header.
