paramedicguyer
Hey guys I was wondering if anyone was aware of how to extract the actual files from the DLC's and individual mods. For instance I like many weapon/armor mods but for my own personal play issues I would like to insert the items into the game myself. I am absoultely terrible at modding.... Thanks guys
Callighan
In your Data folder, there are specific folds such as Meshes, Textures, etc. Inside those folders are the parts of mod items. For instance, a gun's 3D model a.k.a. mesh is usually found in the Meshes folder, while the same gun's textures are normally located in the Textures folder. As for DLC content, they are found inside the .bsa files which is sort of a zip file. Its contents can be extracted just like a zip file using Fallout3 Mod Manager's BSA Extract option. However, if you mod using DLC items, you cannot release a mod which contains a DLC item as it would mean someone could get the items for free. For further details, you should consulte the GECK wiki.
