DarthBilly
Being able to equip two stances at once makes no sense, gameplay wise and lore wise.Im not too knowledgeable about modding, but from my experience making a game, there should be a function that handles switching stances. It most likely has an input that is something like an Int, or Enumerator, that determines which stance is selected. The mod could replace the current stance choosing system with one that increments and decrements though the options using the d-pad, or X/C.Another, more complicated, way that would probably work better is have D-pad left (X) switch between the single bladed stances, and D-pad right © switch between the dual bladed stances, kinda like the first game.Update 5/7:I have found that the game actually has the cycling system built in already. It can be accessed by unlocking the Debug settings, then there's a setting to activate cycling stances. I'm not very far in the game, so I'm not sure if you unlock this later, or in NG+. If not, it may be an option in normal gameplay in a future update. Update 5/11:There is a mod out for anyone unable to use the debug settings, or if you like how the mod works better. Lightsaber Stances, by r457: https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsjedisurvivor/mods/62?tab=description If you're on keyboard, it's the perfect mod because you can switch to any blade using 1-5, or whatever you want to set it to.For controller, it's a bit more complicated. You need to set a button that will act as a modifier that you hold down, then press another button to select a stance. GunpeiYaBoi
I've been playing on PS5 and if EA and Respawn don't want to provide this quallity of life/immersion patch via update or, god help me, paid DLC, then I'm willing to get the Steam version and donate to whatever modder can make this happen Edited May 7, 2023 by GunpeiYaBoi
GunpeiYaBoi
a good solution for mapping that's been going around is to have the dpad function change when you hold the focus button on the right bumper so it cycles through the stances and sets it to that dpad direction when released. i don't know if it's possible for it to be even that nuanced, but that would save from having to create new UI for a radial menu

GunpeiYaBoi
apparently there's this! https://www.reddit.com/r/FallenOrder/comments/13ay6mi/r457s_stance_swapping_mod_showcase/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 if they can get it working while moving and integrate controller support I would buy the game a second time on PC, but even in this state, it saves your immersion and quality of life; I'm really hoping EA and Respawn can just do an official patch, but it's good to know there're solutions.
