JANOWITZ
I began modding pretty recently and until now my game has worked fine, but now every time I try to continue, load, or even start a new game Skyrim crashes immediately. I tried running TES5 Edit and everything came back finished with no errors, and when I ran my game through BOSS it displayed allot of dirty edits on mods that ran fine, but there was one mod, lc_ Castleinvasion from the Steam workshop that, had deleted 7 navmeshes. I tried unsubscribing to this mod but it did not change anything. Please help me fix my game, I will even delete and re-install all my mods if i have to, I just want to play skyrim. TenthLegion
Not to be the fly in the ointment, but I refuse to download from the Steam Workshop because it is almost impossible to manage the mods IMHO. They self update which can ruin many save games. Also Castle Invasion is still in Beta stage from what i remember. As for your problem. Do you run Wyre Bash with BOSS as well? I have some mods that BOSS says contain dirty edits and I haven't had any problems at all and I am running about 215 mods right now. Some mods NEED those "errors" to function, and cleaning them can cause errors in my experience. My personal advice to you since you said you don't mind re-installing would be to do just that. This way you have the best chance to get a stable game going. By that i mean re-installing everything, skyrim AND mods and starting from scratch. Just be sure you do a CLEAN install, with nothing left over from the previous install. When you install mods be sure to read if they need other mods to run. When you install any mod always run BOSS and IMHO you should ALWAYS rebuild your bashed patch too if you are using Wrye Bash. Also know that even when you uninstall a mod it will leave pieces of it behind in your save game, which can cause problems later on. So try not to uninstall mods mid-playthrough if you can help it. It would also help to see a list of your mods that you want to install or had installed. I am not really good at explaining things and I suck as a teacher but I will try to help you as best as I can. Not sure if any of this helps, but I wish you best of luck and you are welcome to reply with more questions if you want.
JANOWITZ
Thanks for the help, I uninstalled the game and deleted everything, unsubscribed from any steam workshops mod, and uninstalled all of my mods and now I can play the game. I was even able to load my old saves!
