Doomfall
I'm not new to modding, but last time i installed oblivion and modded it the meshes, misc, etc. files where shown as folders, so i easily modded Oblivion manually...Just today i reinstalled a different copy of Oblvion on my new computer and soon i noticed the meshes, misc etc were shown as bsa files... i googled it and downloaded bsa unpacker and OMOD manager... I browsed the bsa files and also extracted meshes in a irrelevant folder...Could you please tell me what is the easiest way to go to install mods either manually either using OMOD manager... Just so you know, manually installing mods was easier for me...
bben46
If a mod has bsa files, you just place the bsa in the \data folder, just like the vanilla bsa files. The game will recognize and use any textures, meshes or anything else packed in a bsa without extracting it. The modder went out of his way to make it simple and you are trying to make it complicated. The only reason to unpack a bsa is to use the resources in a mod you are working on.
