Black Hat

Yea, I saw that mod too while digging around.

The problem with that mod is that it has an .esp attached to it, and with already close to 200 .esps playing nicely together in a playthrough over 120 hrs I don't want to risk breaking anything.

If my GECK would actually work I would whip one up in Blender no problem. Sadly, the GECK has not been my best friend lately.

Just look at him... Heisenberg needs his hat!

The other problem being that the pre-war hat fits the Heisenberg hat much better in shape/style

It's impossible to get a unique black hat without an esp. The only other option is to replace the pre-war hat texture with the black version.

I'd suggest after your current playthrough you could this utility to merge some of your mods to reduce the amount:

Well, you can always retexture Eulogy's suit and hat to black, as a replacer, so it doesn't need an extra .esp file . Since it's already unique, it will not affect anyone but Eulogy. It's trivial to do it yourself in GIMP, but if you're lazy, you can just grab the textures from my Professional's Suits mod for New Vegas, and rename them to make a replacer. Since the mesh and texture they're based on exists in FO3, it ain't piracy to use them in FO3.

Edit: Assuming you own NV too, and aren't afraid of unpacking and copying meshes around, you can even help yourself to some of the Benny outfits there or the sunglasses.
