I need Help with a mod i'm making!

hi

 

i'm making a new island for oblivion linked to to tamriel via a script which Enables/Disables doors depending on where you are Anvil or the island. I used the result script box in the TESCS to do this. But when I run the game it crashes.

 

Whats happening ?

 

Anyhelp would be appreiated!

 

N.B. I am running Windows Vista, might this have something to do with this?

Can you post those scripts? It's a little hard to help this way...

 

But you're using the result script box? In a quest? Or dialogue? Perhaps using a normal script would be better.

I used a conversation that goes like this

 

GREETING (adds the Waterview Topic)

 

Waterview (gives two options Yes and No)

 

Yes (This is where it goes wrong This is the script:

 

Disable aaadoor1 ;disables exterior door from anvil to ship

Disable aaadoor4 ;disables door from ship to anvil

Enable aaadoor2 ;enables door from Waterview to ship

Enable aaadoor5 ;enables door from ship to waterview

player.removeitem Gold001 15 ;Remove gold from the player)

 

No (ends conversation)

 

You mentioned using a normal script to do this, I am more of a builder than a scripter how would I do this?

 

I did some tweaking (checking doors were persistent references or initially disabled0 and now the enable/disable commands don't appear to work. :thanks:

Brainflash!

 

I'll use a script that enables?disables the doors when a bed below decks in your cabin is activated. Just like in the Bloated Float script all I need to do is use a rental script!
