wpgfurry
I've been noticing alot lately from the bans list and various mods i've been following that there seems to be an explosion of hate speech lately. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this and if there was something we can do about it besides just reporting every single post. Some of them I've reported stay up for weeks and the users continue to go off on hate filled rants. Don't get me wrong, I know the moderators are few and it's tough to keep up with all the reports, they've been doing an amazing job keeping up with everything as it is. I was just wondering if there was something more we can do to help them out. I'd like to feel safe asking a mod author a question without being threatened by a hate fueled troll. TheVampireDante
"Report and leave it to us" is about the best advice I can offer. Involving yourself beyond that tends to complicate matters if such confrontations get heated (and might also make involved users targets by the problematic ones). So it's best to let us know and step back.I know at times it might take a while to resolve matters, but we do get to each report and they will be handled appropriately. We discuss the reports internally, so sometimes it's just a matter of waiting on consensus over the infractions. We do get to them though, and violators will be dealt with accordingly. Basically: after reporting them, ignore the trolls - they aren't worth your time.
