rahaney
Hi, For some reason, presumably a mod i've got installed, moriarty won't sleep. In fact i think he's stopped going outside too. In this playthrough i really want to despatch him using the Sandman perk rather than a gun / live grenade. So is there any way to command the npc's to sleep. I've waited round the clock for him to do it already, Thanks, R
rahaney
I found out what it was. The AI Packages for each npc, which can be seen in the GECK are executed from the top down, if the criteria for the package is met then that package is the one that is run. The top one for Moriarty is in the MS16 - Power of the Atom quest when he comes downstairs to watch the confrontation between Simms & Burke. Now we all know that if you just watch Simms is shot in the back by Burke and killed. Now for my playing as a good character i usually wait for him to pull out the pistol and then gun him down using VATS. However this act does not seem to update Moriarty, well not at least in my game and its mods. So i just deleted that package from the list in the GECK (had to make a new esm naturally) and he switched immediately allowing me to kill him later using the Mr Sandman perk and therefore not get the "Hello, Mr Dangerous" from Nova or "Don't kill/shoot me" from Gob. You can also use the quest setstage command, the evaluatepackage cmd and the resetai command to trt. Hope this is of use to others. R
