ThegreatQ
Still trying to port a custom oblivion mesh to Fallout. When assigning a model to the item in the Geck the texture is visible but does not show when adding the item to an actor and neither in game. I already tried tinkering around with texture paths (making them relative or absolute and trying other textures from existing items). I read something about that a wrong nif version could be the trouble but I wouldn't know what to do about that. Any advice anybody?

ThegreatQ
What is a texture set? Thing is, I did many custom armours and weapons by copy-pasting in nifskope and applied my own textures. Up to now I could always solve texture problems. But since this is the first time I ported something using blender I suspect that something happened there. It took me some time to get the mesh to show up in the Geck not to mention not crashing Geck or erroring Nifskope. So there was quite a bit of tinkering going on there, while I can see no obvious reasion why there should be anything wrong with what I've done in Nifskope (since I have done this a thousand times without any issues). Deleted1205226User
Texture set can eliminate the need for NifSkope for the purpose of retexturing.More about :http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php?title=TextureSet I don't know if it's a solution for you, at present, but it worth knowing the process. (! doesn't work with furniture ! Crash guaranteed)Unfortunately, I know nothing about Blender or porting.Your problem can be well connected to it but I'm of no help then... ThegreatQ
No, texture set didn't help, however it makes it easier so that I don't have to assign the textures everytime I tinker with the mesh again, so thank you very much. When I deleted all the vertex groups on the parts of the mesh in blender, the texture is visible in game. However the whole head and shoulder part is tipped by 90°. Deleted1205226User
Yes, texture set can be helpful, but always make backup before testing, as it can be messy (like with furniture)Once the faulty object introduced in an esp : crash at starting (game or Geck), there's no way to solve that. Good luck with your trouble. :)
Dalamar
I am not sure if I am resurrecting an old chat, but I had the same problem.I could see my texture in Geck but not inGame. I finally found out what was wrong: I was playing a female charecter and I hadnt added the texture to Female Biped Model. So simple and yet so annoying.
