(I'm just starting out, so hoping to get better soon). Anyway! On to my idea! This mod would add a new dungeon location underneath the burnt out house in spring mt ranch state park. The courier would run across a child hunting a pack of bighorners. upon getting close, the child would quickly would flee to the manhole that leads to the new dungeon. There you would meet a giant ghoul (not giant like gojira, just a foot or two taller than most) named Og, who is the leader of the settlement. There, they have a personal vault that they have been able to survive in since the great war, but have recently been having issues with their bunker. Their electricity is down do to solar panels on the surface needing repaired, their food and ammunition stocks are extremely low, their doctors are stumped on a few seemingly new diseases, and lastly there is a bit of unrest towards their leadership and his secret past. After all, he's been around for hundreds of years longer than any of the human residents. Helping the new faction survive will win you a few new perks/recipes, a weapon or two, caps and supplies, and lastly, a new companion! I have mapped out the quest in (what i think is) extreme detail(I have a VERY logical mind, so I have thought up stories and explanations for everything), and would love an experienced modder or two to help me implement all the right aspects that are beyond my skillset. sullyvanj93 Posted December 28, 2013 Author Share Posted December 28, 2013 Well I have a 6-page word doc about it actually! haha. but i wont bore you with the details unless you're wanting to help me make it ;) So short version!: After convincing the ghoul that you mean no harm and that he should allow you into his underground society, he has a little sit down with you, telling you a few ways that you could help out, offering you large amounts of money (pre-war money at first, since they have really not had much interaction with the rest of the world)More or less, your timing couldn't be better (go figure). -You would need to repair a few outdoor solar panels(much like sunshine boogie), as well as tutor a young apprentice in the ways of repair (his predecessor passed away without fully training him, hence why he isn't out repairing the units).-You would need to assist the doctors in the med-wing (much like boomers, forlorn hope, etc), as they are discovering new diseases in scouting groups that have come back from the wastes, as their immune systems are MUCH different that a wasteland dweller.-You would help the cook by retrieving some bighorner meat (after all, you interfered with their last hunting mission)-Guest speak at the school, teaching the kids a few things about surviving the wastes-Show the basement dwellers how to reload ammunition, as they are mostly all packing melee weapons-Snoop around and find data on the leader (giant ghoul), where you have an option to take it straight to him, convincing him that he should be more transparent with his people, or taking it to his subordinates, causing much more unrest.-Help defend the base from a group of fiends who followed you there (you also get to see the giant ghoul in action here) The few different quests would test multiple skills, making sure that it wasn't simply "run this errand for me half way across the globe, then come back, then go another thousand miles, then you're done"(I hate that kind of quest...) for your troubles, you'd get a few balanced weapons, perks, and recipes that reflect on your experiences in the basement.You'd also learn a bit about the fateful day the great war happened, as you interview the old ghoul.I was hoping for a small interaction with the ghoul leader and raul, where raul helps the old leader find peace about his family and past. For helping arrange this meeting, the leader would give you a HUGE makeshift sword, identical to his own. It may resemble Lilly's?Finally, since you've helped his people so much, the giant ghoul offers you his company as a companion with GREAT melee skills and strength. If anyone is interested in even MORE details, message me, that I might collaborate with you in hopes we can make this thing happen.
