Patch 1.5 why oh why......Help Please

Recommended Posts

So I have followed all suggestions on how to Fix Fallout 3.

I was using a few mods such as textures to weapons and clothes.

including all DLC and updates.

I have since deleted all mods, reinstalled, used fo3edit,fomm 1.5 update beta, used G.E.C.K to make items persistent.

I was using 1.4 update all was perfect... but to play Broken steel you need the 1.5 update.

Now I CTD on save or enter of buildings.

But quick travel works fin for me.

Clean install no mods.

I feel right ripped off after spending 113 $ on everything now i can not even play this game.

some one please help cause i am :wallbash: going crazy here......

:thanks:

When I first downloaded all the DLC's and updated to 1.5, I couldn't play 5 minutes without crashing. Understandable since I have a decent amount of mods.

I was advised to reinstall, update the patch to 1.0.0.15, use the Fake Patch (to 1.5), then use all the Unofficial Fallout 3 Patches. That with FOSE and the right load order worked for me. Well, until my latest hiccups but the game on the whole (including the Pitt and O:A) has been almost flawless with that method.

Keep in mind, I never deleted any of my mods. Just reinstalled the main game and used the appropriate fake and unofficial patches.

what i have now found out is after the 1.5 patch all mods are time stamped so you have to take each through G.E.C.K and re save them to a later date and time and apply your mods load order by date and time and slam..... lets hope next update fixes this cause that is sad truly... very uninspiring
