There was a pretty good video tutorial here somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Anyway, you basically want to right-click and "copy branch" to each part of the mesh (if more than one). Paste branch to the scene root (or NiNode) of the sword you will be using havok for. Then delete the original, but make sure you keep the havok (pay attention to the numbers as you do it). Close your mesh and work on the one with havok, the number of children (in block details) will be the same unless you had more than one piece. If so, change this number to reflect that, if not then just right click children-array-update. The block you copied should now move up and become a child of the scene root. Save under the name of your original file and test. Pretty sure that's all you need to do, but there is definitely an easier way.

If you have Blender past 2.46 I belive, and make sure you have the most recent version of nifscripts. Split the window in Blender, and make your second a scripts window. Select your entire mesh, in 3D view, then in scripts window click scripts-mesh-hull, and you should have a list of havok types. Most likely for a sword you want a box shape. You should see a wireframe box surround your mesh, you can edit it if you want to make it fit better. When ready export as normal, and you should have some options on the right. Click weapon, and metal and the model should export all ready to go. Check it in Nifskope to be sure then test it out.

Whew, that took longer to explain than I thought, but I hope it helped.
