vagitoe Posted June 14, 2009 Share Posted June 14, 2009 Ok, so I was downloading a mod (the bug fix for the City of Ember mod) and the pop-up window said this -- -- Then, when I previewed my post here on the forums, the fonts changed to this (continued in next post[dissregard that, it was just Unicode or some nonsense - it translated back when I tried to post it) -- WTF just happened? Sorry, no can do. :sweat: I can't seem to be able to repeat the error, and stupid me didn't thin to copy the url when I had the chance. :wallbash: Besides, I am not 1337 enough to know how to get the url from a pop-up window (there isn't an address bar...) Edit: I FIGURED IT OUT! What I did was click on the download link, then, when the pop-up came up I said cancel. Then, I went back and clicked on a different download link. I think it confused the system, because the same font mess came up again. I can still download the same as before, but now I have some fancy moon letters in the background. Try it for yourself, you'll see what I mean. It's the most bizzar error I have ever seen -- do you think that nexus is hosted in the Far East? It's not the page, it's the pop-up thing that has the names of the two servers you can download from. Sometimes when it pops up it's just a white screen, and on those times, if you leave it up, it will display the font mess I posted. Do this1) Go to City of Ember - tech demo -updt5 2) Go to the files tab and click the CoE_tech_demo_updt5 file (it's the only one) 3) Now a pop-up window should come up and the download box will appear. When it does, don't download, and instead hit "cancel." 4) At this point you should have a pop-up window with nothing in it - just a blank page. Do not close out of it, just click off of it and repeat steps 1-3. Now you should have a page full of WTF and :confused: (unless you don't have the right fonts like me -- you'll just get boxes then) and you can show all your friends how cool you are. If you follow these steps, you should be able to repeat the error I got. However, it could be because of my browser (I use Opera) and not because of Nexus.
