This is a fragment of my super hero / super villain mod ideas. Tenny Penny tower shouldn't be a luxury retreat. I know its a salute to zombie survival movies but, theres room for more options. The end point being that 'Tenny Penny' tower can be the PLAYER'S TOWER, and a site for a small custom community.

 

First, I suggest a more 'crime syndicate' feel to it with Tenny Penny himself as less of a weird old millionaire and more of a weird old Godfather. The guards outside can be mercenaries but, inside? The guys should have the Burke look, not look like a bunch of yuppies. While women having shops for clothes and decorations is fine, and a bar fits, I'd like to see a black market type shop with weapons, ammo, and suitcase nukes :) . Think 'arms dealer'. Its more authentic. If you side with them, getting your apartment should get you into the syndicate so, you should also get a suit. Burke as a companion would be cool as well. If you choose to help the zombies, you can leave em in the tower as per usual.

 

Secondly, if you get into the tower but don't want to blow up Megaton, you should be able to kill Tenny Penny and let Burke work for you or kill them both. When you go outside, there should be an extra option when talking to the lead guard. It should say that the guards work for you now and you want them to evict the tenants. Next time you return to the tower, it should be accept for the shop owners. You should also be able to change the name of the tower at the front desk. If you don't like the guards outside, after the 'evict the tenants' option should be a 'hey turkey, your fired' option (lol). At which point the guards are hostile and you can kill them without losing karma points.

 

AT THIS POINT THE TOWER IS YOURS. All the shop owners sell low, buy high, and repair to near 100% for you. You should also be able to bring all the companions you want back to the tower and have them either in the bar, in a room waiting, or wandering the property. You can also set one to guard the entrance in place of the fired merc captain (if you fired him).

By adding 'follow' abilities to key NPCs, you can bring them to the tower and build a custom community. A key detail here is to have 'follow' and 'welcome to your new home' options added at this point to notable NPCs so you can pick who you want to live at the tower.

 

Want to assemble a super hero / villain 'team'? Here's your 'head quarters / lair'!!

 

Want to elevate the status of certain subway dwelling vampires? Bring em to the tower!!

 

Considering running a criminal empire? Companions become you 'slaves', your 'thugs', and your hit squad!!

 

Vigilante Justice on your mind? Recruit a certain Megaton Sheriff, his deputies, and companion 'bounty hunters'!!

 

Just wanna get people you don't wanna kill in a safe place so you can maim things and not get on their bad side? Turn 'friends' into 'tenants'!!

 

 

Minor detail ideas:

 

-Your 'robo butler' should work the front desk and be named Alfred (duh).

-The 'purchasable themes' could be re-done to be more appropriate to the above choices and used to alter the lobby area, not the apartments.

-Protectron guards or themed NPCS can be purchased to wander the outside property in place of the standard multiple mercs
