How to get the most mods working with the new Mod Settings and Red4Ext since Cyberpunk 2077 V1.62 update.

1: Install all main dependencies the most mods needs with Vortex Mod Manager

Cyber Engine Tweaks is available individually for Steam and GOG versions of the game since Cyberpunk 2077 V1.63. Be sure to choose the right file for GOG or Steam.

Especially Mod Settings preview versions available only on Github can solve many issues after game updates and hotfixes.

IF the mods you want to use need more dependencies, just install them too.
You should prefer vanilla versions of the mods and not the REDMOD versions, if possible. You ask why? The vanilla versions of mods have mostly less issues than REDMOD's. But that's my own experience.

Try also preview versions of the mods available on Github, if you can't get the game working with versions released on Nexusmods.

2: Make RED4EXT backward compatible (you will need winrar or 7zip installed on your machine)
Download manually CYBER ADRESS LIBRARY - ALL VERSIONS
Unpack it and create the folder structure:
red4ext/versionlib

Copy all files from the mod inside the versionlib folder and pack them into a new rar file together with the folder structure to get Vortex install them properly into the red4ext folder, otherwise they will not work.
Just drop the new rar-file into Vortex's "Drop File(s)" window and wait until the installation and deployment are finished.
With a double mouse click on the mod you can edit the mod information (modname, source, version, mod id's and more) to get Vortex show the correct mod's information.

With the first two steps I succeded to get both Wannabe Edgerunner mods ( Wannnabe Ederunner - A simple cyberpsychosis mod and Wannabe Edgerunner - Humanity recovery) to work properly with the current game version and also with the newest MOD SETTINGS and RED4EXT.

3: How to handle REDMODS:
I did the best experience with REDMOD's installing them manually and deploying them with WOLVENKIT.
With the recent version of WOLVENKIT it's the best way to unpack the mods inside the Cyberpunk folder and then to use the WOLVENKIT mod manager refresh function to get them shown, activate them and deploy them.

4: Issues and MOD errors when starting Cyberpunk 2077

Just go into your Cyberpunk 2077/r6/cache/modded folder and delete all the files inside, then start the game usually with the redlauncher. Redlauncher will rebuild all databases in the modded folder and start the game.

Sometimes additionally it also helps to delete all files in the Cyberpunk 2077/r6/cache folder and then to verify the game files over Steam or GOG before.

5: CTD (crash to desktop) issues when loading a savegame or creating a new character.

Some armour and clothing mods include shops for Virtual Atelier. Be careful not to install the same shop more then one time, otherwise you will get the CTD issues.
