But do I theoretically have to run the other option in the spartan mod. Like visibility and so forth?

Spartan mode does this but you would have to edit the other options back to vanilla settings.

Right click on Spartan mod and use 'open with" from the menu. Open with notepad but uncheck if it asks to "always use this program to open".

You can edit ammo and detection as well as other then save it not save AS.
