Alundaio
Usually I don't post mods I released here. But I figured this actually might be well liked by a few people, especially those who want to revive dead NPCs. ------>DotW version 1.00<------ Brief Description: Adds 4 new Perks and a persistant Doctor's Bag item. Medical Student: The knowledge you acquired from reading medical journals allows you to properly diagnose and heal another person. (Req. 30 Medicine, Level 4.) *Note: Gives a base 5-15 heal points during First-Aid. Base 3 uses per day. Doctor of the Wastes: Through your medicine and medical research, you have learned how to properly resuscitate any dead creature. Don't forget your Doctor's bag! (req. Medical Student, 60 Medicine, Level 8.) *Note: Also gives 10-30 bonus heal points. Allows 2 more uses a day. Healer: The healing of bodies comes easier to you with this Perk. 10-30 more hit points are healed when using the First-Aid skill. Also allows for one more Heal per day. (req. Medical Student) *Note: Adds 10-30 bonus heal points and allows 1 more use a day. Revivify: You have the strange ability to revive any creature no matter how long they have been dead. (req. Medical Doctor, Level 12) In short: This Mod allows the Player to either Heal Himself, Heal other NPCs/Creatures, or Resuscitate dead NPCs. All given the player has the requirements to do so. See the readme for further details. ------>README FILE<-------
Callighan
Nice. I'll try this one out. Although, I am a bit concerned about Necromancer. Is there a plausible lore explanation to it? Sorry for being a bit irk-ish on the subject. Great mod anyhow!
Alundaio
Reason I added that in is because I'll get hammer'd with "Can you make it so I can Resuscitate someone no matter how long they've been dead?". From my experience in modding so far, people always seem to ask for stuff like that. But you are right. It holds no Fallout Lore to it. But Fallout is the place to house jokish perks. However, the other perks do closely resemble the old Doctor and First-Aid skills from the original Fallouts, with the Resuscitation thing added in, of course. Alundaio
Maybe if you can think of a better name for it?
Callighan
mm... perhaps something that has to do with defibrillation or Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator. Perhaps something along the lines of Post-Mortem Defibrillation is good. The idea would be to kickstart the heart using a drug and some electricity. The drug could be Jet or some other drug wasteland available drug, and the electricity would come from microfusion cells or similar energy sources. Since you're using a persistent Doctor's Bag item, I'm thinking there's some sort of device inside the bag that gives the player the ability defibrillate using improvised resources. Agnot2006
I you going to do a version to resuscitate NPC’s from death like coma’s that doesn’t require Perks for those of us who have already topped out and don’t want to start again?
Alundaio
I've included the Perk Codes to just use Player.AddPerk...
BadPenney
Maybe if you can think of a better name for it?How about "Reanimator", like that ghoulish movie? Sounds more scientific and less Oblivionesque, at least.
Alundaio
I've decided to change it to "Revivify" To kind of match the feel of "Healer". I like Reanimator, but I think Revivify eliminates the Magical soundingness that Necromancer gave.
Callighan
Is there such a word? What about simply Revive or Revival?
