NMM won't work, at all.

I'm new and downloaded the NMM last night. It didn't work, then worked, then didn't connect to the servers, now it doesn't open. I get an automatic, "Windows encountered a problem, checking for a solution" pop up, but it only stays up for about half of a second before disappearing and my computer doesn't look for a solution.

 

I tried running it as an administrator, I moved the file from the programs file, to it's own file, to the games file, to my desktop, to my programs file (x86) (someone mentioned in a forum it worked for them), to uninstalling to reinstalling several times with different settings. I tried to change my windows compatibility from 8.1, to 8, to 7, to windows vista to windows vista 2. None of those fixes the problem. I changed my antivirus (which I actually don't have active right now) settings to make sure it wasn't blocking it without my permission. The last thing I tried to do was manually change the target and start in folder directory in the properties settings, this allowed me to get to the loading screen before it crashed with the same half a second error pop up.

 

I may be wrong, but it seems like I downloaded a useless mod manager that isn't going to help me at all. I like the website but the download manager is giving me more problems than I'd like to deal with. If anyone can help than I'd appreciate it, if not than I'll be spending my time trying to find a manager that works.
