SparkleDEV
So I've had this idea for a mod that I wanna make for myself where I take the 3d models of some of my Skyrim Characters that I've played over the years and add them as loading screens. The problem is that i don't really know how to get the 3d models from the game. I've been trying several things but none of those have been really working. I've tried ninjaripper (v1 and v2) and 3DRipperDX as external tools, but they didn't really work for me (maybe because i launch skyrim through mo2 and bc of that virtual folder stuff if I start the game otherwise, the mods won't load), and i've been trying to export my character through racemenu but the .nif file seems kinda bugged, it doesn't include all of the textures my character uses, and doesn't include the body.So yeah I've run out of options now and idk how I can get a 3d model file of my character. I am also using some enhancement mods for them so ill need a ripping method that also take those into consideration (i'm talking abt cbbe, bodyslide, and custom hair, tattoos and armor)(attachment is a screenshot of the nif file exported though racemenu)
PipBadger
I know this is an old post but figured ill post if other had the same idea. I haven't had much success with MO2 and ninjaripper yet, i added ninja ripper as an executable in MO2 so when i start NR it will load the VFS to load the mods, set skse or skyrimSE executable and D3D11 wrapper in ninjaripper. for me if its laggy, its working. the troubles i have is most of the armor is there, a lot of the surrounding area as well, the head is missing or detached and i think skyrim crashes before finishing so the rips incomplete. duplicate models is also an issue. I'm trying to find a mod which is has it's own worldspace and void of anything except your character, like a photoshoot mod. that may address most of the issues. I really want to 3d print a decent size model of my character and modded serana but it seems difficult or impossible. guess i should start learning blender or Zbrush. SoltyBadger
I'll use my right account this time... Great, finally got some where. using NinjaRipper 2.4, adding it as an executable in MO2 and running to load MO2's VFS(for mod loading), selecting the skse loader.exe in NR2 and starting skyrim through NR2. I recommend using an empty map/mod or a really high place when ripping to minimize clutter, i used frame rip that I assigned to F10 and the result was promising. importing the ripped models into blender 4.1 using the included NR2 importer works a treat except, if you ripped in a cluttered area/map it will result in a me & my katamari situation. when importing there are two options, "world space import" where it would seem my character is in the same pose and equipped weapons and "T-pose import" where the character is standing with their arms by their sides and weapons and such are on the ground and all characters may occupy the same place and overlap. Update: using the mod Review Studio With Green Screen Rooms https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11792?tab=description i was able to do a real nice rip of my character, duplicated models are still an issue though.
