joshua121
I am trying to make a creature that is wearing armor, I have a lot of diffrent armors made to make golem like creatures. The skeleton already has a couple of armor options, So I tried pasting the armor I wanted to show up over the existing armor. To quote hundreds of others "it shows up fine in NifScope" but nothing in the CS or the game. Can someone point me towards a tutorial that will help me out, or tell me what I'm missing. Thanks. TheCalliton
youd have to remesh every armor and the skeleton, and edit the scripts (using the skeleton as an example0 seems like a pretty big project to me
BossDweebe
If you can make it happen in NifSkope you should be able to make it workin game. There is a problem with NINodes, Texture Properties, and collision data, just to name a few of the properties that may have to be altered to makeyour armour work in game. Some of these things may only require that you rename them. Others will require extra data. You may only need some additional bone Nodes. In this case it may be helpful to start with a mesh that has all the bones (I think the Minotaur has them all). Then if they don't get used you can clean them up with the - remove bogus nodes - command when you finish. Just as an example; some things I have not worked out yet -When I attach something to a creature it will sometimes work in game, but float separated from the body if the creature is dead (Any position not standing). Another stumbler for me has been getting an attached item to be animated with an object that already has animation. In this case my attachment remains stationary while the object turns. But in both instances what I have done looks good in NifSkope.
Vagrant0
Any model for creatures must be edited and weighted for that creature. Standard armor models will not work, period.
