Modding Difficulties

Ok

So when I install my game, the Oblivion/data/ folder has Music, Shaders, and Video all in the right folders, but Meshes, Misc, Sounds, Textures, Voices1, and Voices2 are all BSA's. I have no idea how this happened, but I dont know how to install new mods into BSA's and I can only get by with OBMM. Ive tried extracting the BSA's to folders and put them in the data folder, but it didnt work, maybe I just did it wrong. Anyways, I can only use OBMM because most of my data files are BSA, but alot of good mods arent omod compatible.

If anyone could give me a solution to just use obmm for all mods, or to fix the files where and how theyre supposed to be, Id be grateful.

First - The BSA's do not get modded directly.

You don't need to extract anything from them, but if you want

to use a vanilla mesh or texture as a base for a mod then you

extract the relevant file.

If your game is just installed then be sure to also install the official

Patch 1.2.0416. If you also install the Unofficial Patch you will probably get

the "missing" folders as it makes changes to most aspects of the game.

It is not a problem if there is no mesh folder. Use the one from the mod.

For more details read the General Mod Talk page - "new to PC gameing-----"

for a more detailed instruction on installing mods.
