quinncannon
I am now trying out the various mods and have a issue with fallout 3 slowing down to single digit fps when the archive invalidation is invoked. If switched back off then fallout 3 runs fine, so the summary is that the game runs fine, even various mods until the archive switch is thrown, then it stutters and runs so slow it takes minutes to shoot a enclave eyebot with a pistol. XP on a dual core with 2 gig, it runs fine otherwise. I used fomm to load the mods, patched to 1.5 and have all textures, sounds, etc in the appropriate places. I added the GNR - more where that came from, the 100 songs and it works fine without and without the switch, but several of the mods say I need it to use marts and others.Sound does not stutter while the visuals do, so the i/o can't be choked and what would the switch do to visual processing? I was under the impression that the archive invalidation was a simple zero or one in an ini file that redirected the program to load different files and or extentions. If anyone has suggestions as to how to proceed I will be greatful and willing to provide whatever information you need.
