bjones20005 Posted June 16, 2009 Share Posted June 16, 2009 Ok I have duplicated a ring in the CS (Changed the name and created a new form) and added a new enchantment to it that I created that has 100 Magnitude Chameleon 0 Duration. I first placed it in the Shack for sale in the Waterfront district of IC I just set it on the floor using the fall command and saved the mod. Now when I loaded up the game (Loaded save from Prison Sewer Exit) I went and bought the house after using the console to give myself gold. I then went to the house and the ring is sitting there but it wont allow me to pick it up. All I get is the crosshair icon. So I went back to the CS Deleted the ring from the house and set it right outside the Prison sewer exit on the dock there. Load it back up and now the ring doesn't even show up. Tried putting it in the row boat on the shore and aging not there when I loaded the game. So how do I add my custom ring into the game so that it 1: Shows up and 2: can be picked up. :thanks: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

BossDweebe Posted June 19, 2009 Share Posted June 19, 2009 Something small like a ring is best put in a chest so it doesn'tfall through the cracks. You can also put it in a merchants inventory,but it will cost you as the enchantment puts the price up even if you only put a value of 1 gold on it. Did you set up a World Model (_gnd) when you created it ?The menu icon is not necessary, but the gnd is if you want to pick up or drop.Some items can get by just using the regular nif, others require a special gnd nif.If you try to drop an item without a gnd you will get a missing mesh icon. and more...If you buy from a merchant without a gnd you can use the item and put it in a chest, but you cannot drop it or pick it up (from where you left it in CS). btw - any old gnd will do. Thanks that helped for what ever reason when I would use the "F" key to make it fall to the ground when I hit the havok button it was just falling through the ground. Setting it a bit above the ground fixed it. I still have 1 issue. My ring has a form ID of 01000CE6 but when I use the console command of player.additem 01000CE6 1 it says it can't run the script due to a bad form ID or something like that. Pronam Posted June 19, 2009 Share Posted June 19, 2009 The 01 part only works if your mod is the next from oblivion.esm.If you have a mod-manager, you can see which number it has from the list. num6 would be 06000CE6.
