OBSE to work with Oblivion GOTY Deluxe (GameStop App)?

I bought Oblivion GOTY Deluxe using the GameStop App, and it plays great on my Windows 7 x64bit laptop, but everytime I try to quit the game, it starts to quit and then crashes and I get the "program stopped working" error & message. I thought this might help me out (http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/21416/?) or (http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/22410/?)... NOTE: I am using mods, and I don't want to get rid of them if I can help it.

 

Is there any way to get OBSE to work with Oblivion GOTY Deluxe (GameStop App version)?

 

And for the record, YES, I have looked before and seen that it works with the Steam or PC disc version only, and not GameStop App or Direct2Drive...BUT...

 

I saw on this thread http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1034123-obse-gamestop-version/ that millosian apparently switched the oblivion.exe file with another, and with that he was then able to make OBSE work... is that true?? Is it possible, and that easy??

 

If so, would I have to use another Oblivion GOTY Deluxe oblivion.exe (either from Steam or the PC disc) or would it work using a oblivion.exe from just the base game (without being Shivering Isles or GOTY)??

 

Any help would really be appreciated!! Thanks!

The FastExit 2 is the right mod to avoid the "crash exit problem".

I don't know if there is difference between GOTY Deluxe edition and the standard one. You need to check the Oblivion version, it's not important if is the Steam version, GameStop version, standard version.

Read the readme file included in obse to install it correctly (if Steam version or other version). Anyway you need to be sure that your oblivion.exe is the 1.2.0.416 version.

I just read a similar topic, and the gamestop version isn't compatible with OBSE.
