generalmx
For some reason I'm fascinated by Vampirism in Oblivion, and I am continuing the work of ParasiteX, Drokk, Aznar, etc. so-called "Kiyoshi"-type vampires that get stronger instead of weaker from feeding. Nothing beta-ready yet, but I'm working on it. My Changes- Heavy script rework from the original Kiyoshi script, set in multiple stages. - Your effective level will be calculated into how strong your powers are. This is used in conjunction with the progression of time, but there is an effective level cap. And when I say "effective", I mean a system that works with mods that change how leveling works (as I use these as well). - New powers that, as a side-effect, drain and damage health (your life's blood you get from feeding), fatigue, and/or magicka, making the Vampire a class of its own. The idea is to balance these powers to make them tactical instead of god-like (yes, even if you're an "ancient vampire"). - Daytime and nighttime powers and side-effects. The biggest one, of course, being Sun Damage. Daytime powers are gained to allow you to temporarily avoid the sun's damaging rays...at a huge cost. - Optional mod that adds new quests and "friendly" Vampire clans you can join for additional powers and services based on your playstyle. - Optional mod that changes specific NPC disposition depending on keen the NPC's senses are towards Vampires and unspecific NPC disposition based on various penalties (starvation, daytime, etc.) - Optional mod that changes some vanilla quests. There are several vanilla quests involving Vampires that will be changed as well. Its always peeved me that as a Vampire, my dialogue choices forced me to put down other Vampires. Yes, you can still complete them, but at least the dialogue, options, route, and/or requirements have changed. - Optional mod that adds the new powers and side-effects to NPC vampires in a SAFE way to make it compatible with other mods that change NPC vampires. - Optional mod that lets me get all of this done by the next millennium. So my main question is -- what would you like to see in your vampire?
