More silent dialog though entire game.

I had this idea that a mod that more added silent dialogue options for the ''hero'' could really add something to the immersive side of the game.

With the silent dialogue idea i'm obviously inspired by the likes of Bioware's older games, and i really think that adding more dialogue choices for Skyrim would be a great thing, but unfortunately i haven't the slightest idea of making my own mods, so that's why i have turned to you, in hopes that someone see this, and thinks ''wow, that is a good idea for mod'', and make it themselves.

Thanks, MostlyMuggie. I must admit i would prefer not to have a mod with silent dialogue to the NPC's, i think it takes a bit of the feel away from the game, if some NPC dialogue is voiced and some is not. Since the Dragonborn is already silent, i think it would be appropriate for him/her to have more silent dialogue options, the npc's could then maybe respond to the dialogue, although there would be some extra work on the NPC sound files to make it work correct. i'm sorry if it's me not explaining myself probably before. :)

Oh, I thought you meant that you wanted more dialogue options and didn't care if the NPCs responded with silent text dialogue. The problem is that we do not have the original voice actors to make recordings for mod-added dialogue. Even if a modder made the voices, it would be weird if an NPC has 2 voices (original professional voices + modder's voice).

In older RPG games, most NPCs just had text dialogue and maybe voiced greetings. Only important or quest NPCs were voiced. It was like this in Morrowind, and kinda like that in Fallout 1 and 2. That was always my favorite formula since:

  1. It lets me use my imagination and picture the characters voices and emotions which IMO was better than a voice actor on a stiff in-game face
  2. It was MUCH easier for modder's to make professional mods with dialogue.
