crates and boxs?

i just wanted to ask how do i add things to crates and boxs as well as NPC's?

I was stumped with this at first too. It's actually so simple. double click on the NPC or Containers, A new window will open, then simply click and drag from the object window to the container or npc window in the inventory list.

but does anybody know how to place objects onto a map or whatever it's called.

Basically the same way, double click on a CELL, in the cell window, the cell will render itself in the render window, then click and drag from the object window to the render window, then move your object around in the render window to where you want it. Easier said then done.
