Trouble removing mods from a collection

I want to know if this happens to somebody else or if I'm just really really dumb.

So I have a 400 mod collection for Skyrim SE, and sometimes I try a mod and end up removing it some time later because it's buggy or doesn't meet my expectations or for whatever reason, and here's where the issue lies.

So if you happen to accidentally remove a mod from your modlist WITHOUT removing it from your collection first, it locks you out of being able to edit such collection; making you have to redownload that mod just to remove it from the collection and then uninstall it again.

I cannot tell you how many many times this has happened to me, it's bad enough on it's own but when it's a bigger mod you have to sit there and wait until it finishes downloading.

WOULD IT BE SO HARD to add some kind of linking feature that removes a mod from the collection when I uninstall it, or a pop up window telling you "hey should we update the collection?"
