Trouble reporting to Caius

Hello all. Relatively new to Morrowind, and working on the Blades quest(main??), anyways Ive got the Dwemer box for Hasphat, thus I report back to Caius!! only thing Caius will not 'Acknowledge' the report??? Hasphat tells me to go report, the dwemer box is removed from inventory, but nothing??? I have tried going back and forth several times, asked every question avail. all to no avail. Stuck on this bit??? Any ideas anybody??? Most appreciate any info provided.. Thanks Graiskye

I think you have to select the ORDERS topic.

The only thing i can think of is that you didn't get your journal updated by Hasphat or recieve his report. Apparently you did. If you DID and it still doesn't work try using the console and typing:

 

SetJournalIndex "A1_2_AntabolisInformant" 15

 

or try adding the report

 

player->additem "bk_a1_2_antabolistocosades" 1

 

if it still don't work maybe skip that part altogether and type

 

Journal, "A1_2_AntabolisInformant", 20

 

i think that should work

 

by the way in case you don't know access the console by pressing the `~

( the button above TAB and left of 1 )

 

If you're on Xbox you might be screwed.

Thanks Kevin . Ill give all those things a try. I did try the 'order' subject, but he just keeps telling me to go get report!!! Checked journal its got the update in it, so I guess Ill try the console. Thanks again, Grai. :D

Sorry for the double reply post?? Wasnt sure if I should just edit but what the h... So I tried all in order, first no diff,(might have miffeed the entry((???))) second added the report to inv. but still no reply from C!! So, third edit did it. Thanks a lot for the prompt respsonse. While I have your ear, I have noticed items dissapearing from inventory?? Am I hallucinating, too much moon sugar!! Seriously though, I had some pretty valuable loot but it has dissapeared. So whats the deal??? Holes in my sack?? seems just my little stuff gems and such. Thanks again Graisye

I aswell had problems like this, I think doing the pilgremages. I would talk to him after I did the wuest and he would just keep telling me to do the quest, luckly I had a not too far behind savegame.

The most common reason for items vanishing is being arrested and agreeing to pay the fine. The guards confiscate all the items you stole. You can get them back by burgling the nearest 'evidence chest', making sure you don't get caught of course.

 

I have very occasionally had items disappear following loading a mod. Otherwise I have not had items disappear from inventory. However if you put loot into chests where the contents respawns you will lose it.

The worse "dissapiering item" was of my own falt but kinda funny, I know you all had (with your really good characters) eventually small piles of things all over the4 world. I had been doing the Hiallou quests and needed the Acaidains isles land deed, but having taken it earlyer in the life of that character, I had put it down in one of my piles and had to try and remember where I might have left it. I never found it.

I ended up restoring it with the console. I figure it wasn't really cheating, as I did have it!

Am I the only person to have these small piles of ramdom things just laying on the ground? heh, it;s kind nice when you think about it, your just walking along and you come accross one of thoses piles and go, "awww I remember this quest! I was just a lv 15 way back then!" hehe then you pick the stuff up and bring it home to through it in the massive pile that is my house.

As stated im a noob,(lvl 3) so far, and I already have a few stash spots.!.! And as for losing items, I had turned myself in and lost the items that way, wsnt aware(at the time)that all stolen goods were confiscated??? Doesnt anybody ever pickpocket you???? Grai
