Khet
To ensure that a downloaded mod is installed and working correctly you first need to ensure that the .esp in in your Fallout3/Data folder. Also, any custom meshes and/or textures must be placed in the Fallout3/Data/Textures and Fallout3/Data/Meshes folders. The folder you downloaded should already contain a Meshes and Textures folder along with the ESP so the only step required would be to copy ALL contents into your Data folder and say yes to merge the folders. Once installed you simply need to load up FOMM or the Launcher and (in the case of the launcher click on Data files) enable the desired mods and play. In most ReadMe's included with mods they explain how to begin the mod's content. Sometimes you need to travel to a certain location, wait for a random encounter, or simply do nothing (in the case of game tweaks and changes)

theworddeath101
First download it of course and open it with winzip, or Winrar you can find both on google second highlight them all and extract them to the desktop or do what I do and make a special fallout 3 mods folder then click and drag the .esp files into your data folder you find this isMy computer> C:*or whatever drive you have the game installed to*>Program Files> Bethesda Softworks>Fallout 3> Data. Then drag everything from the files mesh folder into the mesh folder in your data folder do the same for texture and sound and so on. *Sometimes you have to go deeper into the files as to not overwrite something with directory folder that is the same like weapons or projectile* also be sure you have fomm downloaded also can be found on here or google. then tic the check box on the mod and click launch fallout.
