Mod request, growable apples, carrots and potatoes

Ever since I saw the apples and carrots etc in rivet city, I wanted to be able to grow my own. I have a few ideas:

 

You can buy seeds in towns, plant a soil patch by dropping the seeds. But they obviously have to be expensive.

 

Every 24hours you can use a purified water on the soil patch(which could become a tree after the first 24hours) to gain 2 apples (it has to be cost effective so thats why theres 2 apples)

or 2 carrots or 2 potatoes.

The reason it should be a portable soil patch is because of those (like me) who find a good hideout and stay there, Ive searched the mods section and there doesnt seem to be a mod that does this already.

 

Does anyone think they are up to the challenge as I really suck at scripting and have no idea where to start and thought it would be easier for someone who knows what they are doing to make this mod,
