mormegil27 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I am having difficulty with mod downlaoding using NMM. The manager was going at fairly slow speeds, so I upgraded to premium. Ok, when NMM connects with preium the speed is much faster. However, for most of my download attempts NMM just keeps searching different servers over and over again, I'm wating ~20 minutes just to start one download because it keeps retrying and retrying... What is going on? Is everyone in the developed world snowed in and attempting to download skyrim mods? Is DERP attacking every file-sharing server in the world? I've done lots of downloading of mods for Oblivion and never had this problem.Speedtest says my upload is 14 Mbps and download is 6 Mbps, so I don't think it is me.Is anyone else encountering this?
mormegil27 Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 Aha, I tried restarting NMM altogether and now it claims it can't reach the Nexus server. So their server must be down, because I can load lots of other websites. Sucks for me, I was attempting to get my modding done tonight.
mormegil27 Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 Looks like it was a problem with the Nexus server - now back on NMM and though I'm still getting a lot of retries, it is more on the order of a minute than 20 minutes (with some errors - ie no connections).
