Chaosblade02
I'm a complete noob when it comes to modding, and was just wondering what all is needed? I was thinking about starting out making my own kinds of weapons and clothing/armor. Then possibly move up from there. My first idea was to try and make a Sephiroth character from FF7, his own race/special birth sign available, make his clothing, and his weapon, a massive 6 1/2 foot katana called Masamune. I am not sure if someone has done this already, I looked around a little bit and could find nothing. Is it possible to make weapons and armor that increase in power with your character level? What programs do I need to make weapons/clothing/armor? And where do I get them?
bben46
Start with the construction set. Learn it first as you cannot get anything into the game without going through it. Then after you know how to manipulate stuff in the CS, and know what you want to do, ask for the specific type of programs for what it is you need to do. Chaosblade02
****Edit, I see several people have already done this, I should have searched more closely. I have decided to abandon the idea and don't really think there is anything else I might be able to add that has not already been done. Seem like everything I think about doing has already been done, and quite well. After messing around with this program, I can't really say I have the time or the patience to get into modding. I don't even have a base of knowledge that I can relate to and apply to this like some people do, so the learning curve would be incredibly steep for someone like me.
