Is there a shortcut to do that? In the Geck, it's shift 1, but that doesn't work in the Ck.

I'm trying to work in the Heartfire homes, but they are quite cluttered.

First select the object or objects, and then hit plain '1' (no shift)

1 time makes the object semi-visible

2 times hides the object completely

* Press F5 to refresh window and to reveal the hidden objects.

Yes, that's how it works for an object. What I want to do is hide an object and its children (By children, I mean "objects that have the first object as the enabling parent").

In Fallout 3, I open the player home in Megaton, and it's filled with the objects of the different themes. By clicking on the parent Xmarker of each theme, and typing shift 1, all the children objects will disappear. Is there an equivalent in the Ck?

I haven't touched CK in years, but I don't remember CK having such function. But in the other hand I could be wrong.

I have never been able to figure out how to do that either. I was hoping I could hide for example one of the 3 layers of walls, and it would include everything that comes with that particular "build" of the home. As it stands, it's hard to know if the floor you're putting a rug on goes with the wall you're putting a torch on, or not. Hearthfire homes are such a mess.

Check the 'Render Window Hotkeys' window.

Toggle visibility of enable state children - ctrl + 1 (the one you want, If I understand correctly)

Toggie visibility of enable state opposite children - shift + 1

Unhide all hidden objects - alt + 1

NB this might vary based on which version of the CK you have. I have v1.5.73.0 - also have 'CK64Fixes Rev 1948737' applied too, which adds some features.

Thanks for the answer dafydd99!

- Find the parent

- Ctrl + 1 twice to hide the children

- 1 twice to hide the parent

The problem I have is that if I click on the view parent button of the edit dialog of a children, it seems that the view change to the parent, but the children is still selected, so the process is not "easy".

So yes, the homes are a mess, and they'll stay a mess!

Thanks again!
