JeffreyTheRed
I'm new to playing games with mods. How long after the game releases before we could expect to see mods becoming available? Specifically, I'm interested in subclass mods and a mod to enable rolling for ability scores at character creation. I feel like barbarians and monks get the short end of the stick in character creation without being able to roll. Most classes only need one or two ability scores to be great. They need three. On a point buy that means they have to sacrifice more than other classes do to be good at what they're supposed to be.
Sprryte
I had just started using mods for EA of BG3 - but hat 0 experience with Mods even before that. I found some character creation mods that I loved at that time. The mods I was using added many wonderful hair styles and also gave additional faces to choose from - they were wonderful. I wish there was some way of knowing when those mods will be (or if) available for full-release. I know it's only been a few days, but since they are used to create your character in character creation, I think you'd have to have them when you first create your character - You can't go back in and modify your character once it's been created - right? Not only that, but I can find no information as to whether the mod creator will even update the mod for full-release BG3 - If anyone has answers to how we even find out if a creator plans to update files from EA - please post an answer? RTRome
After launch, I am having very poor luck with Nexus/Vortex. Whatever the problem really is, the post-launch 'full release mod fixer' doesn't, I had to reinstall on a second ssd to get rid of the vortex/nexus splash screen that they inserted, and trying to fix it without reinstallation seems to just make things worse. Even Steam's 'verify local files' is useless this time.
