One of the worst things that can happen to a gamer: In the dead of night, water from my air conditioner poured out onto the attic floor, soaking the ceiling. You can guess the next part: the part that fell destroyed my PC.

Trying to recover everything is a bear. Does anyone have a good URL for the Bethesda Forum? Google doesn't list it for some reason, and I need to get in touch with a couple of members over there. Thanks.

You might try recovering the hard drive. Make sure it is completely dry and clean. Then use a usb to hard drive adapter such as Cables to go Model 30504 or similar. - about US $20 or less. You can plug any SATA or IDE hard drive into a usb and read it. The computer should recognize it as a removable storage device.

I have recovered nearly all data from several unbootable hard drives this way. As it uses a separate isolated power supply it should be safe even if the drive will not spin up.
