Need help with Altering DT based on Hit Location

Howdy, as the titled suggests I need help altering DT based on hit location, I am using JIP's Localized DT setting and I am developing a mod that applies an Object Effect if the DT is below a certain value, JIPs setting is working as intended but even if I hit the unprotected body part it is not applying the effect I have created as it still reads as if the DT is applied to the whole body.. the only solution I can think of is altering the DT based on where they are hit while wearing specific gear to stop the effect..

 

I have tried making an effect for armor that increases the DT to the intended value when hit in the body part the armor is worn but it seems the game first checks for the DT then applies damage, ignoring my effect. I am stumped, any help will be greatly appreciated.

I can't answer your question, but I'm curious about what you're trying to do with the mod?

 

I am hoping to put together a simple system of plate carriers w/ insertable, heavy, low durability plates and high durability vest/soft armor rigs for realism purposes. My idea was to have it so that you could fab improvised plates or buy high-grade ceramics.

 

One of the big issues I've been trying to solve with number offsets is how to make shots to the extremities HURT a lot because they're unarmored. The problem is, its a videogame, so health is just a linear number, so making limbs have a higher damage multiplier to compensate for the DT they undeservedly receive makes it ALWAYS better to shoot people in the legs.

 

I wonder if there's a mod that can only allow limbs to be crippled, not to be lethal?

 

Anyway, you putting together a bleed effect mod?

 

Oh and thanks for making me aware of JIP localized damage!
