Broughden Posted August 5, 2023 Share Posted August 5, 2023 At present in the official release version of the game there are numerous issues with the cantrip Mage Hand, that I doubt Larian will ever fix. 1. Mage Hand requires a short rest despite being a Cantrip. This needs to be fixed. Cantrips should not require short rests. 2. In 5th edition D&D the Mage Hand cantrip gives any spell caster the ability to open UNLOCKED doors and chests. Currently this is missing from the game. 3. Arcane Trickster class defining skill: Mage Hand Legerdermain. This skill is a defining skill and ability of the Arcane Trickster subclass allowing them to use thief abilities up to 30 feet away. They should be able to pick locks, pick pockets, or disable traps. Presently despite both the Arcane Trickster class description and Mage Hand spell description claiming Legerdemain is in the game....it isnt. None of the theif skills function with Mage Hand. For the love of all Arcane Tricksters...or at least this Arcane Trickster, someone please mod and fix these errors! Thank you! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Lynandra Posted August 5, 2023 Share Posted August 5, 2023 I'll have to admit, I was surprisingly disappointed by the Mage Hand yeah. I expected being able to do *some* stuff with it, but having to drop potions and things ahead of time (which is so tedious you end up abandoning), or the difficulties to open/pull levers with it, ... made it sadly underwhelming.
