wargod2013
Hey everyone! I apologize if this post is in the wrong forum but I was wondering if I should always start Skyrim from the launch button in Nexus Mod Manager or through Steam. Also if I launch through Nexus Mod Manager, do I select the option to close out of NMM once I start the game or should I leave it open? Also if I have the mods installed and active, do I need to open NMM everytime I play Skyrim or can I just jump in through Steam and play the game? Thank you very much for any feedback. Edited January 6, 2014 by wargod2013
gvbgamer
You can just go through Steam. NMM isn't needed to keep mods running. BUT, and this is a big one, if you're using mods that rely on SKSE, and all the best ones do ;), then you need to launch either with the SKSE launcher or set NMM to launch with the SKSE launcher. ModOrganizer can also be set to launch with SKSE. There should be a "skse_loader.exe" file in your Skryim directory (the same place you find skyrim.exe) and it's easiest to right click that and "send to desktop" to create a shortcut for it.
