marcuswithac Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 Considering BG3 uses the same engine as DOS2, it's surprising that the initiative and turns are done so differently. Yes, there are arguments for why initiative seems to be done as group and then people with similar initiative can act simultaneously, but this gets very confusing in multiplayer. Players can act at the same time and potentially waste their turns when one character does something before another. Sure, maybe the group could communicate more, but are we really relying on the excellent communication skills of our weird friends? This mod request would ideally, if at all possible, implement the more rigid turn-based approach of similar games. No player can act unless the previous player or NPC in the turn order acts first. This just keeps battles tidy and eliminates people stepping on one another's toes while bringing back that tabletop quality so many are used to already.
Alviarin Posted August 17, 2023 Posted August 17, 2023 Seconded, would absolutely use such a mod, I just hate shared initiative.
