Search Filter All games to NOT include certain games

I like going into the all mods section to look at new mods, and maybe discover a new game to play and mod.

 

Problem is on every page of it will be mods for skyrim, fallout etc taking up half the page.

 

I have nothing against those games, I have modded them to death, but it'd be nice to be able to filter them out so I can see other games.

I like modding ! And sometimes i like to browse "all mods" just to see if "this mod" or "that mod" might want to make me play and mod this specific game. (take a sip every time you read the word "Mod")

But , No matter how I order them, on each pages it will be 70% skyrim mods, and 25% fallout mods.

The same way it's possible to exclude certain tags, is it possible to have an "Exclude game" drop down menu ?

I personally love the new layout, but I think it could use one major improvement. Many people like to play games based on how good the mods for them are, but its hard to do that with everything being the top 20 or so games on the site. You can currently, if you take the huge time needed, slowly add every game but the ones you don't want to the game bar, and get this effect but that takes forever. I think having an exclusion filter for games like we have for tags would be a massive improvement, and shouldn't take too long to implement.

We are experimenting with a new homepage that only shows mods for your favourite games by default. Would that help with your suggestion?

kind of? I would really like an exclude as this would help me find new games, and also IIRC, there is a cap on your games.

I often browse the newest mods to see wich games might be interesting to pick up based on the available mods, but I often run into the issue that the results are flooded with Skyrim mods.

The favourite-list is nice, but it wouldn't really help me much since I usually look for games I didn't have on my radar yet...

Yes PLEASE!

As Omniban pointed out, a lot of us would like to pick up a new (unknown) game but want to see if it has a lot of mod support.  You can search "All Games" for content, but you currently can't exclude.  The problem with this is that if you search on a subject 99% of results will be the same 2-3 games so the results aren't useful in this case.  e.g. if I search for something in all games, I will get results that show 199/200 are for skyrim, cyberpunk, fallout4, baldurs gate, but I want to find a new (to me) game.

It seems like it would be simple to add a simple exclude function, which most search engines do.  e.g. add a -skyrim or -cyberpunk or whatever game you would like to exclude.

yeah they really need more people working on the site it seems, taking a week to even accept new games when it should be automotated just to not have to delete the game spam bots might create
