WestdykeAutos
today I downloaded Operation Anchorage. I play offline, so after looking on the internet I realized I had to move the files from the Xlive folder to the Fallout folder. I started the game, but there was no outcast distress signal. I tried logging in proper to Live, then applying the 1.5 patch (which I probably shouldn't have done) and still no distress signal. then I ran to the place where Bailey's Crossroads was supposed to be, and it was there. I went in, but none of the Outcast guys had voices, and there were textures missing. so I unpacked the OA bsa's with FOMM and the sound and textures worked. I thought I had got it to work, kinda, then I went to the simulator room and put on the suit. the quest didn't progress, even though I had the suit. then I used the console (setstage, sqs etc) to move the quest forward until the protector let me sit in the chair. the animation came on, and I expected to be teleported to Anchorage, but nothing happened. I tried the same thing with other saves, other chars and new chars, logged in and out, all mods deactivated except Anchorage, but it's always the same. currently I am reinstalling the game, and I was hoping someone could help me with the course of action from here on. my Fallout 3 version before the reinstall:- about 10 relatively simple mods, just items mostly- German version with uncut patch - no official patches- used ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated EDIT: I just reinstalled Fallout 3 with the configuration from the pinned "Getting DLC and mods working" thread (fake patch, bsa manager etc) but it's still the same thing. EDIT 2: Just downloaded + installed The Pitt, and suddenly the radio signal from Operation Anchorage appeared, despite the fact that I had already started the quest. The Pitt seems to work. any help would be very, very much appreciated.
