Every mod downloading from UK server on NMM

When I select to download a mod using NMM, for some reason, it automatically selects the Kent, UK server. As I live on the west coast of the US, this gives me download speeds of around 20 kb/s. This didn't used to happen. I'm currently premium, and this doesn't make me feel good about paying for "faster" speeds. Is something happening server-side that I don't know about? Thanks!

Click the 'settings' button (the gears icon) in NMM. Then go to the 'Download Options' tab. Under Fileserver Preferences, select your region (west coast U.S.). Oh, and uncheck the 'only download from premium servers' checkbox. Then you should be good to go!

You are not "paying for faster speeds". You made a voluntary donation to support a free service. If you regret that donation, Dark0ne will immediately refund it, but there is no "fee-for-service" agreement here.

 

And had you been reading any of the 10,000-or-so words Dark0ne has posted over the past month about both the overall site issues, and the NMM-specific ones, you would know that "Yes, there are things happening on the server-side."

>> this belays the fact the the "premium member" pitch page implies faster speeds .... "premium membership" has actually doubled all my download speeds, regardless of server ... I just downloaded the same mod on a different machine, with a free account ... while this machine is still less than 1/2 done, on the same mod .... don't kill the messenger ... there is something wrong with your "premium memberships" ....
