Amanoo123 Posted August 21, 2023 Share Posted August 21, 2023 I've noticed that when I'm in combat, only the participants are in turnbased mode. My problem with this is that when I'm in a patrolled area, and I want to stealthily kill a guy, some guard from the other side of the map might just stroll over and enter combat as well, while I'm still finishing my first turn. A turn is supposed to take 6 seconds, so everyone outside of combat basically turns into The Flash, or you end up in a sort of time delay bubble. This can make it impossible to quickly kill someone, even if it takes only 2 attacks. I have noticed that if you manually enter turnbased mode, the entire world pauses. If you can prevent your target from entering combat mode, for example by stunning them, you then get a free turn during which you can kill him. However, if they enter combat mode, then you enter some sort of time dilation. Maybe this is because of optimisation. In manual turnbased mode, you have to wait for the world to do its turn every time. In combat mode, you only have to wait for active combatants to finish their turns, and not wait for the world. However, it might be nice to have a button to turn the world-turn on or off. That way, you can have the official optimised combat system for regular fights, but have the modded turn system for stealth fights. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
