PepeLord41 - Formal warning issued

PepeLord41 has received a formal warning. This user has now received 1 formal warnings. The warning was given for the following reason:

While we understand that monetizing another's freely-available work can be and often is frustrating, we also ask you to understand that drama like this draws our attention away from the issues, not toward it. Stirring up drama will not resolve the source of your frustration. The best way to resolve the issue is always an unambiguous and all-encompassing report. Additionally, creating an alternate account for drama is very much not allowed.

 

Now, it's policy excerpt time. Our first entry covers genuine vigilante behavior which, while noble, creates problems that a report and moderator review does not. We appreciate the spirit, not the action. This excerpt comes from our Forum and Commenting Guidelines:

You are encouraged to report content that may violate the standards described in this document. For more information, see our Reporting Guidelines. Public accusations made outside of the reporting systems may be subject to moderation.

 

Attempting to enforce our site policies yourself through “vigilante” behaviour is prohibited. If you feel our staff are not moderating an issue correctly, refer to Complaints Regarding Moderation in our Moderation Policy.

 

If you come across content that is violating our rules, we encourage you to make use of the “Report” function that can be accessed via the corresponding button.

 

Our second entry is intended to catch cases of intentional harassment and/or trolling and also comes from our Forum and Commenting Guidelines:

We do not tolerate 'trolling' or harassment of any kind. Do not belittle, discredit, or aggressively criticise another member or their content. If you do not like something or have nothing constructive to add, it's best to simply move along.

 

Content that can be construed as provocative, objectionable, discriminatory, or abusive toward any real-world individual or group, may be subject to moderation. This includes but is not limited to content involving politics, race, religion, gender identity, sexuality, or social class.

• Do not post with the intent of provoking an angry response or argument over a topic (“flame baiting”).
  
• Do not post personally or generally insulting remarks towards someone else, or a group of people.
  

 

Finally, on the topic of alternate accounts, we have an excerpt from our Moderation Policy:

The efficiency of our moderation approach and moderation tools is dependent on the principle of each user being linked to a single account. It is therefore forbidden to register or use more than a single account per user without pre-approval by staff. Users with multiple accounts may have one or all of their accounts suspended. In the event of alternative accounts being used to evade a ban or restrictions on a main account, all accounts belonging to the offending user are subject to suspension (i.e. a ban) and any (pending) unban appeals are forfeit.
