cinder43
Hey everyone, Im having problems accessing my data folder for FO3, I have stored it in a folder on ym desktop and everything works well except for the fact that when I try to access my data folder, which is stored as a Jzip file, my computer says Jzip does not support the format or file I am trying to access and it opens up an empty folder. Could anyone help me find a way to access my data folder? Thank you. BTW I purchased FO3 online and do not have the expansion, and I'm using the 1.5 update
neunen
im a wee bit confused by that. but your data folder should be something along the lines of c:\games\fallout3\data\if you put the data folder into a jzip on your desktop yourself, you may want to change that do you mean that you have installed the game to your desktop and then put it in a jzip file? cinder43
To be honest I'm not entirely sure what I did, once I downloaded the game, I extracted the files using a trial of winzip to a folder on my desktop, once it was extracted it was already in jzip files. That is all I've done so far, but yet my computer sends an error msg when I try to access the data folder, and I am unable to find my FO3 files anywhere else on my computer except for the desktop folder. neunen
so the game came to you in a zip archive, which, when opened gave you several jzip archives? hmmm.. resting on the benefit of a doubt here, im would recommend that you look through whatever installation guide or readme that came with the version you bought and follow that. in the end the game should be installed to a location similar to what i mentioned earlier but fyi: jzip is a free archive program that you could find through google. that would be what you need to open the files, i guess.
