odd encounters while questing?

I would like to know your odd events while questing.

I have 2 both which occured during the fighters guild questline,on the stone of st alessia I was go to the thief when I saw a brown bear chasing a Khajhit and it ran to the entrance to bruma then the thief started attacking the bear,then the town guard and stable assitant was all attacking it.My 2nd on was during massacre at waters edge when modryan oryan sends you to see what happend and oddly enough everyone was alive then I loaded and bienne amlieons father shows up all greving.But get this you can see the towns folk drifting awaying into the contryside but you cant talk or interact with them.

1st one....the miracles of AI :)....Everything can happen and so it seems, a bear intervened...luckily the khajhit didn't die...

 

The second one is a glitch, this is what the UESP wiki says about it:

"A glitch might happen when you return to Water's Edge which makes the bodies of the people you killed drift backwards in the same direction while standing still, and that's sort of scary when it happens because they look like ghosts with an accusing glance. They can still be looted though"

i acctualy love these kind of things. It's nice to see that not everything is connected with the PC. However i don't have the luck to see them very often. :(

I heard bruma can be an odd place lots drunk nords.Like this area is prime for infamous legion forester fights.

I saw a bunch of folks chasing City Swimmer down in Bravil and she was killed in the chapel. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what had happened. Got her house key though, lol In reading Wiki, it seems she may have stolen something. Doesn't mention her specifically, but I bet that is what happened since it said NPCs sometimes steal things. Saw the same happen in the Market District of Imperial City once too. Someone chased and killed in the street.

 

Trespassing in an inn in one of the Imp. City districts I found a dead guy in the basement. He's just dead, with no information or topic to ask, from the owner or anyone else. Don't know what that's all about yet.

 

Frequently see folks being chased in the wilderness by bandits or animals. I help when I can. Saw a dead horse near a cave, probably the monsters nearby got the owner. What really took me by surprise was walking around outside Bruma and seeing a random someone chasing and shooting arrows at deer. If he got to them first, he'd take the meat! I was floored. Stuff like that is really kewl and makes it seem as though the game really does have a life of its own with things carrying on around you, that don't necessarily affect or concern you.

 

A weird thing that happened to me, was when I wandered into Hackdirt before I actually got the quest. I was able to fast travel out to Anvil even though I was being chased. The dude chasing me, somehow was transported with me. I killed him, or a guard did right by the gate we came in at. His body is still there to this day. Cracks me up to walk by and see someone just standing with their hands folded and staring down at his body, like "wtf??" lol

1. Had an imperial city civil war amoungst the guards in one of the districts, which was very bizarre (right after I had installed cats and rats).

 

 

2. I had just started a new character, got them out of the sewers, and decided to venture on to cheydinhal. This was the first character I'd started fresh with OOO installed. Nearly got to the gates when I got jumped by some bandits who were really damaging me badly, so I had to bail and run hoping the guards would help out.

 

I managed to zone into Cheydinhal, but so did one of the bandits, who then proceeded to run all the way to the castle and into the barracks. I followed all the chasing guards into the barracks and iside saw about a dozen all pounding on this bandit. I had t wait for ages for them all return to their guard posts so I could deal with the other 2 bandits, who were just waitng outside the gate.

 

 

3. Some weird encounters with highwaymen / bandits where instead of demanding cash / attacking they just strike up a normal conversation and are generally polite. Similar situation with non-aggroing wildlife ironically, obviously not talking, but just wander around as if you're not there, and I'm not sneaking or wearing any chameleon items).

My mage spent a lot of time in the Shivering Isles and became Sheogorath, but was also the Hero of Kvatch, and the Divine Crusader. I got in trouble for some small crime in Bravil, and when I was released, there were two Golden Saints outside the castle who won't talk to me. They are always there and never leave. I later had to go steal a quest item from Bravil Castle for a mod. I didn't do anything violent, but it turned into a bloodbath. I got caught inside the castle but fled, and used invisibility alot. The guards and some lesser nobleman were chasing me and got into a fight with each other. The nobleman got killed by a guard.

 

I then ran out of the castle with guards chasing me. I forgot about the Golden Saints. They slew all the guards that were chasing me. It was terrible! I just wanted to steal the quest item! I didn't want anyone to get hurt!

 

After I used the quest item, I felt guilty and went back to turn myself in. But because of the goofy justice system in Cyrodiil, my fine was like 80 Septims even though a nobleman and about four guards had died. The Golden Saints never did get arrested.
